Issue with query filters on virtual provider on hana model

Hi all,

I am working on a BW 7.4 SP8 and I have created a virtual Provider based on an analytic view where I join two DSO. I have an issue with queries on my virtual Provider that use variables or constant restrictions in the characteristic restrictions, as I am getting wrong results in the query. There is no Problem with variables or filter values in the default values.

Has anyone already encountered this issue and found a solution? Anyone working successful with characteristic restrictions in a query on virtual provider based on hana model?

Hi,

I found out that the Problem only occurs with variables and filter values on navigational attributes, filtering regular characteristics do work correct.

Any hints?

Please see if the following note is applicable in our case:

1827140 - VirtualProvider in SAP HANA model: Error w/ nav. attributes.

Hope the data type for the corresponding objects in the HANA model and Virtual Provider are compatible.

Hi all,

I joined the Attribute tables on the hana site, now the Problem does not occur any more.
