How To Transition SPL Content Providers

Former Member

Hello,

Seeking advice on best approach to transition sanctioned party list content providers.

What is best way to disable current sanctioned party lists? Looking for a way that requires minimal development in GTS.

Options we have outlined are:

1)  1) Develop XML file that contains each sanctioned party with an end date then load it through the standard load transaction

2)  2) Develop GTS program to mass end date sanctioned party lists

3)  3) Request file from content provider with end dates for SPL

4)  4) Create a new Legal Regulation for the new content provider and deactivate the current one

Are there other options?

How have you done this in the past?

Thank you, Jeff

Hi Jeff,

see also this thread with nearly the same question:

In my opinion, you can setup a new data provider and limit the screening in the future to this data provider. Also for legal restrictions and audit purposes I would keep the old data from the previous provider.

Hi Tobias,

Thank you for your response.

It sounds like the way you transitioned the SPL providers is by changing the provider in the SPL screening batch job. This correct?

Did you modify the old providers SPL data, such as end dating it?

Thank you, Jeff

Hi,

honestly we didn´t transition the provider yet, but I would go that way. In my opinion there is no need to modify the existing end date. If you limit the screening to the new data provider, it should be fine.
