Hi,
We can't get sso to work between Analysis for excel and our BI4 server, I followed all the instructions in note 1785270 (addng kerberos details to dswsbobje xml and properties page). AD sso works fine with the BI launchpad but I can't get it to work in Analysis.
Were using 1.4 sp1 patch 9 for analysis and BI4.1 SP4 patch 2 on server.
It looks like the userid is not send with the request, the host name of the server is used.
Error in Tomcat is
Acquire TGT using AS Exchange
[Krb5LoginModule] authentication failed
Client not found in Kerberos database (6).
Anyone having similar issues ?
A big thank you for any advice or tips 🙂
Hi,
Issue is solved, it was a problem on client side, using services/Session instead of services/session in the URL worked. Sometimes it helps to start all over and not to forget the client side its so easy to blame the server :-).

Hi Gunther,
Just to complement the information, Analysis for Office contains a SAP note with SSO details to all environments:
>> 2047997 - Analysis for Office: Single-Sign-On (SSO) Main Note

Hi Gunther,
I'm not specialist on the security admin from BIP side but I checked some information related with the described situation on the following SAP notes:
1292886 - Client not found in kerberos database when trying to set up vintela or other kerberos options with windows 2008 Domain controllers
1538484 - Error:"Active Directory Authentication failed to log you on. .. (FWM 00006)" when you try to log in to InfoView or Central Management Console as an AD user
1769179 - Howto config KERBEROS login on Bus. Obj. Enterpr.
And also I could find that with 2008 Domains controllers, the cause is a Microsoft bug (See MSKB951191).
Kind regards,
Diego Ferrary
