BRF consults can work without ABAP knowledge!?

Good day all,

How do you think, do BRF+ or BRM consults/experts must know ABAP? or we need to know a basics.

Many people say that the best way is to teach developers with BRF/BRM. Yes it is good i agree.

But i have an idea to train a BRF+ consults but not a ABAP developers.

As for now I'm train them and even without ABAP knowledge they can make most of Exercises by self

So what is your opinion?

Good day to you! I am from BRF+ support team and I feel really great to see many consultants like you taking up BRF+/DSM projects and a lot are going on here.

The vision of DSM/BRF+ is that the rules can be designed by a business expert without ABAP knowledge. In fact the TZBRF course is also designed in a way that no ABAP knowledge will be required. You can do almost all design part without ABAP knowledge. But if you are also responsible for integrating BRF+ with an existing application then ABAP knowledge will be needed. 

Also, if you need to troubleshoot and you have ABAP knowledge (at least basics) then you can avoid dependency on others.
