SAP BPC Admin Tool

We have a strange issue with the SAP BPC Admin Tool (SAP BusinessObjects Planning and Consolidation Version 10.0.12.0) launching on any of our XenApp 6.5 servers (Windows 2008 R2 SP1) when more than a dozen users are logged on at any given time.

The application can take anything from one minute to 5 hours to launch for a normal domain user however if the user is an administrator the application launches in seconds as it does early on in the day for a normal user when there are not many users connected to the server.

This happens whether we log on via the Citrix portal or via RDP to the server that is having a delay launcing the application.  When there is the delay the OSoftAdminMain.exe is visible in task manager but using process monitor to see what it is doing shows that it is just waiting (Process Profling) until a point where it reads the users HKU key in the registry.

Has anyone seen any similar behaviour before that can point us in the right direction of how to get over this issue as at the moment it is not possible to use the Admin tool during business hours.

Hello Dave,

Please download and install the CDFcontrol tool from citrix support  web site CTX111961 - CDFControl - Citrix Knowledge Center and log the trace, share with us any relevant information especially traces between your client and the Citrix end point.
