EPM Add in is not working properly

We have noticed (in our BPC 10 and BPC 10.1) clients, that EPM add in has been seriously affected from today's Microsoft updates (11 Dec 2014).

After the installation of windows updates users are unable to retrieve data from BPC applications. "Save data, 'edit report' buttons are gray out  and in general it seems like an ordinary excel and not an EPM worksheet.

Hello,

If you uninstall the Microsoft update "Security update for Microsoft Office 2010 (KB2553154)"

and restart your PC you will not encounter the same issue anymore, but this is only a temporary workaround. Please also view the following thread:

Hi Michael,

as said to Gavin for now the only solution is to uninstall the KB2910929 security update, maybe in the future will come out a patch from SAP or MS. see please 2107965 - Issues in EPM Add-in after installing Microsoft updates
