Required Windows language

Hello,

just a short question.

I couldn't find any specifics on the language of Windows for installing Netweaver 7.4 on Windows 2008 R2.

So far the best bet was to install it on English language systems.

The Install Guide is not mentioning any language requirement except that English language packs should be available for support.

In short we would like to install it on a German Windows version.

I would say that German language should be perfectly fine since SAP itself comes from Germany :c)

And I would also assume that there is no requirements for system language, if they do not specify.

Hi,

for some time it was a bad idea to try installing Netweaver with German Language Windows versions.

Some things were not reporting the right messages back.

This all might have changed, but an official statement would be nice.

Hi Christoph.

For an SAP Netweaver installation the offical SAP language requirement on Microsoft Windows is that you use the International English MUI. This is officially documentated in the below SAP Note and this has not changed for SAP Netweaver 7.40.
