Run time Error with SAP MDM 7.1 SP12 DataManager

Hi,

We are in the process of migrating from SAP MDM 7.1 SP04 to SAP MDM 7.1 SP12. after completing the migration in lower environment,  we loaded repository (started) and it has taken 20 hours to load . We have opened ticket with SAP and found that due “Text Large” filed exceeding 25 k length, it was causing performance lag when loading repository.  Now we have a plan of migrating text large field to Copy Block or Text Block.

But we have situation with those fields as well during Proof of concept in lower environment.  Please guide us which is the right field to use as an alternative to TextLarge field.

Issue in lower environment is : Error message displayed when we click on Copy Block field

VC++ Run Time error and it says contact application support team

Steps to reproduce.

1. Create a tuple with Copyblock and Textblock fields
2. Create main table and associate the above created tuple.
3. Log into Data Manager and search tuple field.
4. Open tuple and click on Copy Block field or TextBlock  field.
5. Following Error message is popping up and DataManager is getting frozen.
6. Only option is to close Datamanager.

Dear Perera,

have you checked the logs on the Console,please check there is will tell the excat reason fo that.

futhere before loading the repository you can check the repository it will also tell you the reason for failure.
