Hi All Experts,
I think almost all would have crossed through this phase of switching companies in your professional life.
Considering a SAP ABAP developer Life,
1) What you all think as the right time to switch from your first company?
2) Apart from salary what all your considerations and reasons that will encourage you to switch the company?
Your ideas views will be very helpful

Satish
Hello ,
Nice discussion and I can quote my example for sharing my views on this topic.
1. First Switch
From a Manufacturing comp ( Sugar ) to another Manufacturing comp ( Automotive )
I started my career with a Sugar manufacturing company worked for 2.5 years there with always in my mind when I would be able to join an IT Comp as per by qualification ( Btech CSE ).
But I was not able to make a break to an IT Comp due to lack of 3+ exp , so settled with another
Manufacturing comp, but in different Sector.
2. Second Switch
From manufacturing comp to SAP Labs ( Contractual ).
This was like a leap skipping one intermediate step ( IT Services ) to direct SAP Labs
My switch pattern :
1. Manufacturing Comp ( Sugar ) 2.5 years
2. Manufacturing Comp ( Auto ) 1 year
3. SAP Labs ( Present , more than 9 months )

Hi Satish ,
Is a very good discussion..
1) Why you want to shift company??
Not a matter of salary , it's matter of knowledge wise also . Why because , think as you are working in a small and medium companies you will work on different modules and different kind of technologies and different kind of people also .
why I mentioned people also here is , if you are working in client location , they won't understand how SAP will work , they will come with excel files and they want the reports should be same kind.
As per my knowledge , 1st company will give a good exposure and learning also . If it is your 1st job means we almost don't know who is there and how they will reactive if you ask small things also. there are lot of things will be there to learn and habituate.
2) If you are working in a same company you will become a senior , the work will go slowly and the thing here is way of thing also same prospect , we can't thing out of the box.
Once you change the company , there all will be the new one again it's new journey .
new journey is always better than old one.
will have a new challenges and a lot will be there..
I'll prefer have to switch the companies not only with the salary matters , inclusive of all the things..:)
Regards,
Krishna
