Dear Friends,

We've recently set up our ESS/MSS Portal. But when I click any of the launch pad even Who's who/ Address of employee, we are getting an error "A critical error has occurred.....and so on. Screen shot attached.

Necessary configurations done, Roles assigned, Userid maintained in IT105/Subtype1.

Please do the needful.

Regards,

Niladri

is it for only who is who or all services ? have u assigned "EVERYONE" role for that user in portal check once.....is it same for all employees ? can u log in with other employees and check .....once check below and give it a try

Goto:System Administration ->permissions--> Portal Content -> Content provided by SAP -> srvconfig -> com.sap.pct.erp.srvconfig.ess.employee_self_service >right click -> open permissions >add group "everyone" with End User rights + save it

check below and do the same way might work for you :-

Can you pls paste the full screen shot, its not showing entire error message.

Looks like Reading of FPM config is failing. Make sure you have given read access to the end users groups.

Dear Jwala,

It's for all applications. Even basic emp info like employee address gives same error though updated in R/3.

Please confirm is it under Sytem admin tab or Content admin tab ?

Dear Jwala,

We've checked above as per your suggestion. But after that also it didn't work. Then  I checked with ABAP Webdynpro Consultant. He did some technical changes , then some of the applications (Personal Info-Address) started working. Working on other issues

Really, A good Learning Curve and a New BREAKTHROUGH for Netweaver Apps !!
