Hi,

WT /551 is the first appearance of a difference, calculated in retrocalc.

When another retrocalculation yields yet another result, the difference to the previous run is held in WT /553.

So, when a periode is recalculated for the first time with a difference, both WT /551 and /553 will show the same value. If the same periode is recalculated again and the rsult is diffeerent again, WT /551 wil remain the original value whereas /553 will hold the new difference.

Hi,

When any retro run happend and the difference b/t the pay (/560) that will store in the wt /551.

/553 is store the either symbol + / - between the present and last pay (/560).

for example:

In April /560 is 5000

Retro run in May, then

april /560 = 5500

may /560 = 5500

then retro wt's will trigger /551 as 500, /552 as 500 & /553 as 500

again run the retro in the month of March

april /560 = 5600

may /560 = 5500

march /560 = 5500

now you will get /553 as 100 (difference of 500 & 600 )

Hi SK,

/553 wage type concept is same as per my version and jorg version.

here differences in the past retro and repeated retro will trigger in the /533.

i recommend you test in this case for an employee and check clearly for better understanding.

Dear Dude,

552 is the net retrocalculated amount which flows through from previous period into the current period.

Suppose Employee was paid 1000 Currency units in October payroll.

Then in November payroll, his payment was increase with effect from 01.10.2008 to 1500 currency units.

So in November he should be paid 1500 CU for November and 500 CU for October (arrears)

This 500 CU will appears as /552 in Novembers RT.

This is a very highlevel and oversimplified explanation. System generates several /5xx wagetypes during retro depending upon which country payroll it is.

Hope this helps

Wage type /552 (Subsequent adjustment from previous month) is a secondary wage type created during retroactive accounting.

Combination of secondary wage types /551 and /552 for 'Retroactive accounting'

When retroactive accounting takes place, the system creates wage types /551 (Recalculation difference) and /552 (Subsequent adjustment from previous month). The difference between the old net pay (wage type /560) and the new amount calculated is stored in wage type /551 (Recalculation difference) in the payroll period for which retroactive accounting was run. The amount is then transferred from wage type /551 (Recalculation difference) to wage type /552 (Subsequent adjustment from previous month) in the original period. Both wage types are stored in results table RT at the end of the payroll run, wage type /551 with its +/- sign reversed.

Wage type /551 (Recalculation difference) is the offsetting entry on the credit side for a difference amount on the debit side. Since its +/- sign is the opposite of this difference amount when transferred to the results table, it must be posted to debits if it has a plus sign and to credits if it has a minus sign. If it is preceded by a plus sign, wage type /552 (Subsequent adjustment from previous month) is transferred to the payroll results with the opposite sign from wage type /551 (Recalculation difference) and posted to debits, and if not, it is posted to credits.

Dear,

Meaning of Secondary Wage Type /553 and Connection with Secondary Wage

Type /551

When retroactive accounting takes place, the system creates wage type /551 (recalculation difference) as the difference between the old and new amounts of net pay (wage type /560). This difference is always formed in relation to the values from the original period. However,

wagetype /553 is created as the difference between the net pay from the period for which payroll is currently to be run and the previous result. The same as wage type /551, the plus or minus sign preceding wage type /553 is reversed when it is stored.

Example

Creation of /553 and connection between /551 and /553:

January in January

/560    1000.00

January in February  February in February

/560    1100.00      /560     1100.00

/551     100.00      /552      100.00

/553     100.00

January in March     February in March    March in March

/560    1150.00      /560     1100.00     /560  1100.00

/551     150.00      /552      100.00     /552    50.00

/553      50.00

If the current payroll run is for March, the system determines wage type/553 by comparing the new net pay (for January in March) with the net pay from the last payroll result for the period (January in February). By contrast, wage type /551 is formed by comparing the net pay for

January in March with the net pay from the original period, i.e. January.

Mohan,

thanks for your reply:

Ok /553 will not trigger in all instants, in normal retro there will be /551 & /552.

As per your comment, my  understanding is if there is a difference happens where there was a retro earlier may this trigger /553 (plz clear me).

so in this case there was no /552 in RT why this happens, how UIser come to knwo what doifefrence happend
