"0" Before Number - CT04

Hello Expert!

I'm creating a new characteristic on CT04, Data Type: NUM Numeric format.

Its values needs to have 5 caracters, but the field does not consider the "0" before the numbers.

Example: I put the value "00091", and in the field considered only "91"

Do you know something to consider the "0's" before the numbers?

If you want it to retain the leading zeros you'd need to create the characteristic's date type as character format (CHAR).

If you set it numeric type it stores it as 9.1000000000000000E+01  in field CAWN-ATFLV.

If you set it character type it preserves the leading zeroes and stores in field CAWN-ATWRT as it is i.e., 00091 .

Thank Sagar!

But that I really need it's use a characteristic's data type NUM that not delete the leading zero.

One alternative is use the Value Check Strategy: Check Table in CT04.

Thanks for attention

Hi,

You could proceed in CT04 as:

Data type: Character

Positions: 4

Mask: NNNN

Should it work ok.

Thanks,

Regards.
