Hi All,

I am trying to run the Saved RPM BI reports from the portal and its opened with the error message, like

BEx Web Application

Error: Provider Selection Object: Initialization Issue

While processing the current request, an exception occurred which could not be handled by the application or the framework.

Log ID:  C0000AD94226252C0000005900002C88

Unable to process request. Contact your system administrator.

Get error message when executing bookmarked RPM BI reports.

See attachment for error message. I've also attached my repository of bookmarked RPM BI reports that are now failing.

I've experienced this before, approx. 4-5 years ago, in connection with changes implemented to the system

Log Trace failed with the message

BI exception with class "BIBaseRuntimeException" and message "Error: Provider Selection Object: Initialization Issue". See default trace for log ID "C0000AD94226252C0000005900002C88".

Hi,

What is the Release and SP level you have applied to the SAP BW ABAP component?

Can you please refer the following SAP Notes and check whether it helps you:

1717943 - Variable screen: Empty hierarchy variable causes exception

1807309 - BICS: Error during "BICS_PROV_GET_INITIAL_STATE"

2052834 - BICS: Validation of unassigned (#) selection on characteristic fails

2002435 - BICS: Optimization for queries with very large selections

I too have similar issue but the notes mentioned are already implemented but issue still exists.

Hi,

Did you solved the issue.

I did upgrade BW Abap to 7.4 , but BI Java components are still 7.3
