SMP 3.0 Agentry SSL Certificate

Hi,

We are implementing SMP 3.0 with SAP WM 6.1. For production we need to add the signed SSL certificate in SMP server. We already have a signed "*.company.com" wild card certificate.

In the SAP documentation, its mentioned that we need to

  1. Generate new production-ready certificates: Use your PKI system to generate SAP Mobile Platform Server certificates and key pairs, and have them signed with the Certificate Authority (CA) certificate used in your organization. Ensure that you:  SAP Mobile Platform is compliant with certificates and key pairs generated from most well-known PKI systems.
    • Use the existing alias (smp_crt).
    • Set the CN of the certificate to *.<MyDomain>.
  2. Import the production-ready certificates and keys using the keytool.

Please let us know if can you use the existing certificate and skip the step1 mentioned above.

Appreciate your help.

Regards

Zak

Agentry does not currently support wildcard certificates.   You will need to use a certificate that is either the fully qualified domain name or IP address and the users will need to enter the same details as the certificate CN when connecting to the server.
