Independent Demand

Does anyone have knowledge of SAP and whether you can automatically roll forward independent demand from being in past to current week.  I don't think this is possible automatically but wanted to ask this expert panel here.  Thanks.

By Independent demand I assume that you mean Independen requirements, right?

In this case, it is not possible to roll forward the independent requirements in the past.

What you can do is to define on the material master the consumption periods. The PIR dates will not be changed, however, PIRs is the past will be consumed by sales order with this period.

Another possibility is to run a periodic reorganization (transactions MD74, MD75 and MD76) to delete PIRs in the past. And recreate them in the future.

If these options are not suitable, you can write a custom program using BAPI_REQUIREMENTS_CHANGE to change the dates of PIR in the past.

Outstand.  I knew of everything you stated until you got to the BAPI.  I didn't know SAP had this.  Thanks so much.
