In the WebApplicationContainerServer settings, there is a section for HTTP Through Proxy.
I was successful in configuring a reverse proxy in Apache to point to WACS at port 6405, without enabling HTTP Through Proxy. So I'm wondering what is the purpose of this setting?
Hi Joe,
HTTP Port is used for communication inside a firewall (for example on a secure network), and the HTTP through Proxy port is used for communication from outside the firewall (for example, the internet).
Source:Admin guide BI 4.1 SP4 Chapter: 12.1.9.3.1 To configure WACS to support HTTP with a reverse proxy
Hope this helps.
