Holiday Calendar For year 2015

Dear Team,

We are in process of update the holiday calendar then generate the work schedule for year 2015 & assign to the employees.

Before updating the holiday calendar we would like to create/ generate the following table:-

• Generate payroll periods

IMG Path: Payroll -> Payroll India -> Basic Settings -> Payroll Organization -> Generate Payroll Periods

• Generate calendar for cumulations & deduction (Report RPUCTP10)
• Configuration for cummulations

IMG Path: Payroll -> Payroll India -> Cumulations -> Check cumulations calendar

Are there any other tables to update for year 2015?

Can we generate the table in development server, then move Quality, finally in production OR

Directly generate in production server

(What is the standard practice as per sap HCM for creation of tables?

Every time you modify a Public Holiday, a Public Holiday Calendar or a Factory Calendar, the changes should be saved in a Workbench Transport, and released in DEV to be applied to QAT and PRD (after the appropriate Tests and Approvals).

Every time you modify a Public Holiday or a Public Holiday Calendar, you should re-generate all Work Schedules associated to that Public Holiday Calendar, from the month where a Public Holiday was modified and up to at least the end of the next calendar year (I do it for 2 years into the future).  This will generate a Customizing Transport, and it should follow the Workbench Transport in the transport path.

Payroll Calendars are different and have no direct relation to the Public Holiday Calendars. 

You have to generate Payroll Periods (V_T549Q) and Pay Dates (V_T549S_B), and possibly generate other related Dates (such as Posting Dates, Accrual Dates, etc.), generate the Calendar for Payment Models (V_T549Z), set the Pay Periods for Deductions (V_T549X), update some constants (V_T511K) and more...  Follow the different nodes in the Payroll section of the IMG related to your Country Code.

This process can take some time and should be done at least a few months in advance (we do the 2016 Payroll Calendars between Nov. 2014 and March 2015, depending on other workload).

Hi Rakesh,

Through SCAL you will update your holiday calender with new holiday's.

After through PT02 you can regenerate WSR.

The changes should be done into the Development server, and transported to QAT and PRD after the proper tests and authorisations.

Note that for the Public Holidays/Public Holidays Calendar changes, you will have to select the "Red Truck" icon to create the Workbench Transport, and you will see a warning message.

When re-generating the Work Schedules, it will generate a Customizing transport.

Better you can generate your holiday calender in PRD ysystem and after that regenerate the work schedule.

Are you talking about table updates for payroll or time management ? Both have different tables to be updated.

Holidays can be generated and included in Workbench request (transport request ) and same can be moved to quality and beyond.

Ensure that you generate all your WSRs after changes to holiday calendars.
