Hi, I am following this tutorial:

SAP HANA Cloud Platform

"Installing SAP Development Tools for Eclipse"

configured my proxy settings (I am sure the data is correct, ip, port, user, password).

and go to Help, Install Software and paste the url SAP HANA Cloud Platform

and get this error:

Unable to read repository at https://tools.hana.ondemand.com/luna/content.xml.

Unable to read repository at https://tools.hana.ondemand.com/luna/content.xml.

sun.security.validator.ValidatorException: PKIX path building failed: sun.security.provider.certpath.SunCertPathBuilderException: unable to find valid certification path to requested target

Any advice how to fix this error?

Thanks.

hi all.

I am reading:

http://scn.sap.com/docs/DOC-28325

Faq#2

I checked the proxy settings, and try with 'Direct' 'Native' and  'Manual' continue getting the error:

Unable to connect.....

Here In my work, use a proxy with auth enabled: I can navigate/surf in internet with IE, my auth is OK, not know why Eclipse not recognize it.

exist a way for download and install Manually from the web?  (similar others softwares, "Download files for offline installation").

Thanks

Thanks

Hi Miguel,

I found a similar problem description in the UI5 Tool area.

There it has been solved by importing a certificate.

Hi Miguel,

Have you entered your proxy-settings in eclipse preferences for both HTTP and HTTPS?

I have different proxy-server settings for http and https in eclipse, since our standard company proxy doesn't allow me to connect to that https url needed for hana.ondemand.com.

An alternative would be to connect your computer to the internet outside your company network to install the feature.

Another option is: If you find an eclipse installation that already has your desired feature or plugin installed. you can install it from there in several ways:

either connect directly to that installation and install from there, or copy the plugin folders from that machine to any drive and install from there.

Sven

Hi, Miguel,

Did you pick the wrong URL? The SAP HANA Cloud Platform suggests URL as: https://tools.hana.ondemand.com/luna, without content.xml, and it works for me.

Hi Miguel,

I had the same problem as you.  In my case, it was the anti-virus software on my laptop that was the problem.  With that software turned on, the root certificate authority was modified from Baltimore CyberTrust to my anti-virus vendor.  The rest of the chain was the same, just the root was changed.  After I turned off the anti-virus software I was able to install the HANA Tools in my Eclipse installation.

I hope it helps.
