But justlike a foreign country, everybody is stranger

1st Stranger is Self Service:  Renamed it to "People Matters"

It gives an error as below:

Dear All,

I do have the same issue which says 'no catalogs assigned to the user' while opening the HR Renewal landing page.

Fact is that few days back the page was opening w/o any issue. I checked with my security counterpart if some authorization gone missing but they confirmed that there was no recent change in security. Also, we can see the catalog authorisation is there with all of us.

Anybody can please suggest where could more I can check and resolve the issue?

Many thanks in advance for your reply!

Dear Chintamani,

Let me know if your issue is resolved !! We didn't go for HR Renewal 2.0 because of these issues. SF & HANA Cloud Portal are much better option than HR Renewal 2.0

Hi Niladri,

Thanks for your reply!

Yes, the issue has now been resolved. We had some issue with BADI that we have implemented to segregate HRR and FIORI. Somehow the badi was deactivated. Once we did reactivate the BADI, it worked for us.

Hi Niladri,

We had faced the similar issue while setting up EHP7 Landing page and it was due to improper role/authorization assignment.

Make sure that roles are properly assigned to users in backend client.

As a workaround pick all the roles of a working user in EHP6 and map those roles to EHP7 user along with the UI5 Composite roles.

This should resolve your issue.

Thanks,

Divya

Hi Divya,

Proper role was assigned at backend/portal. But I think some config needs to be done in CHIP/Suite Page builder to which I am very new. Exploring that area

You are in deep waters here...

First step is to create a Catalog and add Chips to the Catalog. I am assuming that you have already performed this step:

Go to the URL mentioned in the image and perform this step

Second step is to create a page and assign the Catalog to the Page:

Go to the URL mentioned in the image and perform this step

For some reason, in my HREMPLOYEE page, the Catalog is blank but it still works for me (probably because it is default setup... I am trying to figure that out too but no luck yet...) You can see other pages for reference.

Now, the third part is assigning the page to the ABAP role:

Again, the below screenshot is from the standard role, but you need to ensure that all settings are maintained.

Assign the role to employees and they should see the chips that are assigned to the catalog.

This again is just a small piece of the puzzle... there are lot more customizing settings that needs to happen to ensure you have a working product.
