Mass exchange characteristic values in Variant Tables

Hi All,

Example:

I have 2 variant tables:

VT01

VT02

Both of them are having CHAR01 characteristic with value CV01 in multiple rows.

I would like to exchange the CV01 to CV02 and CV03 (so multiple values) in both tables for all rows.

is there an easy automatic way to mass change characteristic values in variant tables?

Hi Tamas,

do you know transaction CU60E? It can be used to upload the content of a variant table from MS Excel. We are using this in some cases for overworking table content. We never used it for multiple values. However, that's the only way I know to make something like a mass change on variant table content.

In case you don't know this possibility you can check OSS note 516885. It includes also a short manual.

Hi Juergen,

I know CU60E. It is not capable to do this due to multi-value characteristics.

I have created an LSMW and it can do it so I solved myself.
