Hello all,
My requirement is that I need to upload scanned pdf policy documents in ESS portal and that would be downloaded file in pdf by Users. I am not familiar with Portal concepts and NWDS. We installed NWDS but don't know how to give connection to EP( zava 7.0).
Kindly give some suggestions on this.
Dear Meghal Shah,
Do we have any other solution i mean ABAP Webdynpro instead of going with KM.

In NWDS you could create a new Portal Application, put your PDF files in a new folder under the dist folder and deploy the PAR file to portal. Then you could access these files just like any other js, html or image files you would put in the project.
But as mentioned above, the KM would be much more appropriate for this task.
Hi Stefan,
Thanks for your valuable information.
We are trying to connect of NWDS with Portal but unable to do it due to facing some host name issues so escalated to our internal team for solution of that.
Once it is done I will go ahead with your suggestion and retry once again.
If any problem is facing , will post you accordingly. please support to me.
Hi......
You can upload Documents in KM under document repository.
Once you upload the documents then you can create the KM document iView. and assign that iview to the role.
and assign That role to Respective users.
To create the km document iview .https://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/EN/fc/cf14bcd42911d5994400508b6b8b11/content.htm
if you face any issue please let me know.
Regards,
Meghal Shah
