Set Category Level in RfC

Former Member

Hi,

I've got the problem, that I can't select the Category "Level1", etc. in a RfC in status "Validation for release".

I'm using this sequence of workflow https://websmp105.sap-ag.de/~sapidb/011000358700001063542013E/index.htm

I guess the bug is somewhere in the Project "KEMPER01" I'm I right?

Best regards,

Binu

Hi Prakhar,

For ZMCR I want to use the same Categorizations Schema as SolMan is using for SMCR. For that do I still have to create a new Schema?

Hi Binu,

You can create a new version of standard and can assign it

But

I would recommend to create a copy of standard one and then assign it to ZMCR

further activate this which is only relevant for ZMCR.

Thanks

Hi Parkhar,

we (Binu and me) tryed to copy standard SAP Categorizations Schema but we get several warnings:

can you again help us?

We still don't know to assign the Categorizations Schema to a specific transaction type like ZMCR.

Thanks

HI Axel,

When you copy from standard MLC automatically it will also copy the assigned transaction types

Therefore you need to remove the standard transaction types like SMIN, SMCR, SMAD etc

Check the below screenshot, this where(Application Areas) you need to assign your ZMCR and remove the standard ones'

this should resolve and I will continue to help further as well ....no worries.

Thanks

Hi Prakhar,

first of all, thanks for your effort. How or where do we have to remove the standard transaction typs such as SMCR or SMDT? So that the MLC won't use it.

cheers,

Hi Binu,

No problem ..I am always ready for helping my Solman community.

all the transaction type as assigned under application areas which I have highlighted.

therefore remove all the line item from the block

add one line item only for ZMCR and then activate your version....that's it.

Kindly past your screenshot if you have more doubts so that I can help further.

P.s Do check the MLC guide to get complete picture on this if you still have doubts

Thanks

Hi Prakhar,

finally it works! First I had to set the "valid to" date on all active schema on an end date to get the staus "deployed". I made a new version of the SAP Standard Schema and removed all assigned transaction types in the application area and copied that schema. I assigned the ZMCR transaction type to the copied schema and finally it works.

Thanks alot!

Hello Ahmed,

HY

At webgui menu left side, go to Service Operations -> Categorization Schemas, search the schema and add the ZMCR at application areas.

If your schema active you will need to create another one and active again.

Thanks.

Hi Binu,

You have to check whether you have an active Catalog(MLC) assigned to your transaction type of RfC

normally when you copy transaction type from standard this is not done automatically

therefore check if you have assigned to zmcr etc for ur case and this is activated as well

hope this helpsl

Thanks
