How the regular BW cubes are converted into HANA optimized cubes

How the regular BW cubes, DSO (Standard, Write Optmized, Direct Update) Converted into HANA Optimized Cubes, DSO's.

Please provide Information.

Cubes should be hana optimized in BW on hana.

Good to see the information of Migration!!!!

Still I have one Doubt! 

As per my knowledge, we can migrate only Standard DSO, and I observed few changes “Change Log information using SAP HANA calculation view”, and “Active data table as SAP HANA temporal table with history index. 

My doubt is “ If Write optimized DSO using for daily transitions, and we want to continue the same Write optimized DSO after the migration(BW on HANA). What are the precaution we need to take before migration and how it can work after the migration, or  is Write optimized DSO support for migration???

Can anyone provide information for same.!!!

Hi Rakesh Reddy Yasa,

Write optimized DSO is not converted to HANA optimized, since it has only active table and no activation required.

Write optimized and Direct DSO are not required for HANA conversion,respective 'active data table' are in-memory tables only when you have HANA DB.

thanks for your suggestion.

As per my knowledge, Standard Cubes, Standard DSO can be converted into HANA Optimized Cubes,

DSO's. But there is no information on Real Time Cubes, Write Optimized DSO's, Direct Update DSO's.

The link which you shared is different scenario.

If you know above mentioned topics, please share the information.

Regarding conversion of standard DSO to HANA Optimised DSO,

You have 2 options:

1) DSO Screen --> GOto --> Conversion to SAP HANA optimised

2) RSMIGRHANADB.(Without Change log and Reconstruct change log)

You might be already knowing this, as you have already mentioned in your previous reply, that you are aware of standard DSO conversion

Regarding the 2nd part of your question,

as far as I know, only DSO type 'Standard' can be Hana optimised.

Before you could post some thing request you mange your time and do not post such question just for name sake..

Basically HANA Optimized DSO has change @ change log table & activation, rest are common changes like column data base and all.

Here in question how we convert Write Optimized DSO as HANA Optimized ?? where basic there no Change log table exists.

FYI - Conversion of DSO has been obsolete, now where you install or all DSO become Optimised by default when you upgrade.

Hello Vijay,

There are multiple ways to convert standard info cube to Optimized cube.

1. Run t-code : RSMIGRHANADB, input cube name and execute.

2. Run program in tx: SE38:  'RSDRI_CONVERT_CUBE_TO_INMEMORY' and you directed to above screen, where you can input your cube and convert it to Optimized.

and 3. In Tx: RSA1 : display standard Info cube --> Goto --> Conversion to SAP HANA-Optimized.

All above can happen only when you have BW on top of HANA database
