Unit of measure for key figure with multiply in formula

Dear all,

I have two key figures:

KF1 with uom KG/M

KF2 with uom M

I now want to create KF3 = KF1 * KF2

The result is a key figure with M KG/M as unit of measure but this should be KG.

How can I set this up in BEx Query?

Kind regards,

Lieselot

Hi,

By using NODIM please remove units and do the multiplication.

later as per KG or M, you can multipley respected value and use it

Thanks

I already used the NODIM to remove the units.  In my result I then have no unit at all --> how can I then assign unit KG to this key figure?

Kind regards,

Lieselot

unless you do it straight in your InfoProvider (and assign the unit hard coded or via routine) I don't think that's possible (via BEx)

Similar solution without code.

Create one quantity key fig(KF4). use units KG only.

add to your cube and at transformations make value constant as 1.

At bex level. Use KF5 = KF3 * KF4.
