Hi everyone!
I already performed local client copy several times, but now I want to perform a remote client copy on my SAP ERP 6.0 EHP6, installed on Windows server 2008R2 and Oracle database 11.2. I want to now what are limitations in EHP level, SP level , OS, and database type between source and target system in order to perform a remote clint copy. I suppose that EHP levels on source and target system should match, but what about SP level between source and target? Should they also match?
What are the limitations when source system is based on Oracle, and target system is on SAP HANA?
Thanks in advance!
Hi,
As indicated in the note http://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/552711
Notes 19574 and 24853 provide basic information on this subject. The main or Basis release must always be identical. Support Packages and ADD-ONS should also have the same status in both systems. Only then can the consistency of the data be guaranteed.
Also please check the note http://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/557132 to clarify how Remote Client Copy works.
Best Regards,
Aleh
