Hi Experts,
Is there any white white paper or PoV documentatation created or released by SAP regarding why installation of persona and related transport requests including flavors, groups, media files etc are safe/risk free to move to production. How do these transports do not interfere with critical business functiona like Finance, sales, purchasing & so on.

Personas is a completely independent tool which shares no code with anything else in the system, so transporting flavors, media files, users, groups etc. has no effect on anything related to business functions.
Just the mere existence of those objects will not change the way the transactions work when you are running them via the GUI. The customized process and different views will only appear when you start using the flavors. Even then, the underlying business logic is still the same (unless you included some RFCs in your flavor that do more than what the standard transaction is capable of).

Hi Tamas,
Thanks a lot for this response.
A white paper/PoV document released by SAP or anyone explaining few points how persona transports are harmless would be highly appreciated. Such document will help us move persona related transports with fewer approvals and speed up the work.
From above reply it is apparent that regression testing is not required before moving those transports to production.

Avinash
