How to Restrict Folder actions in documents tab

Hi All,

We are having Enterprise Portal 7.0 version integrated with BI for publishing of reports.

We have folder created in "Document" tab in portal server. Whenever we click on reports, we can see that we are having options of "cut, copy, delete, move etc".

But we don't want this options to be active for end users. Kindly help by letting me know that, how can I restrict those options for end users.

Rewards can be assigned accordingly.

Hello,

1.

quick and dirty solution is to set a Portal role (that you create in PCD) on KM command Move... and Details.  Then give the role to the user or group you want to;

2.

better solution is to copy the used layoutset then modify it by removing commands then apply it to the foler.

For solution 1:

- create a (empty freestyle) tole in PCD;

- go in KM config: System Admin -> System configuration -> Knowledge Management -> Content Management.  Then User Interface -> commands -> UI Command with selection.  In the name enter *move*.  Then depending on the iView (admin or standard) enter the role you created in custo:

Then give the role to user/group in user admin.

Problem is that custo will be removed with patching and upgrade.

For solution 2:

--> quite long to explain here.  Check the doc for Knowledge Management, layoutset, KM navigation iView,...

Rudra, beware, modifying FLEX will have the effect removed options arent available at all. Means also for user, who in fact can do this operation due ACL's. Or maybe Im wrong Vincent?

Looks like KM, use ACL's to restrict or provide access.
