Long response time to open/close layout or data windows

Hello BI experts,

Since we use BI 4.1 SP3 patch 5, it takes very long time to open / close Data or layout Windows.

Do you how to improve this ?

Has this issue just started since you started using 4.1 SP3.5? If so what was your previous version please?

What browser/version are you using? I'm assuming IE? If you are able, can you temporarily try the latest Chrome or Firefox browser?

Also how many Dimensions and Hierarchies are there in your cube?

If this is a large number (hundreds) you may benefit from changing a flag in the mdas.properties file. Open the Analysis OLAP Administration Guide and search "mdas.properties" for details. In that file you want to set the property:

multidimensional.services.preload.metadata=false

Restart the APS after making this change and see if things improve.

Hello Ian Thank you for your prompt answers We were using previously BI 4.1 SP2.9 and it was ok with this version. We use IE 11.0.14 as internet browser. With Chrome browser, it's ok In this sample, the report use 15 dimensions and 4 hierarchies. We'll test mdas.properties and we'll keep you updated. Thank you very much for your help.
