Malfunction Notifcation-Future date allowed in malfucntion end

Could you please let us know what is the logic behind the system allowing future date for malfunction end field while TECO of malfunction notification/order.

Hello Arun,

It might be difficult to think and recall a valid reason for your question, but SAP in several such occasions across modules provided flexibility to suit all situations of customer. And then SAP provides the tools in the form of user-exits for remedies also. In this situation, if one wants to get an error message here in this situation (not allowing future date for Malfunction end), we can do it easily with a simple coding in the user exit QQMA0014 in this situation.
