Error during the system copy - Install central instance task

HI All

I am getting the below error during the system copy to sandbox and the error occurred on the Install central Instance task. Can anyone help on this. We are using HPUX with DB9.7 - SAPECC6 EHP5

Installation screen error:

An error occurred while processing option Enhancement Package 5 for SAP ERP 6.0 > Software Life-Cycle Options > System Copy > IBM DB2 for Linux, UNIX, and Windows > Target System Installation > Central System > Based on AS ABAP > Central System( Last error reported by the step :Could not start instance service of instance MSB/DVEBMGS00.). You can now:

Choose Retry to repeat the current step.

Choose Log Files to get more information about the error.

Stop the option and continue with it later.

Log files are written to /tmp/sapinst_instdir/ERPEhP5/LM/COPY/DB6/SYSTEM/CENTRAL/AS-ABAP/.

I tried to start SAP on the UNIX command and got below error

Hi Victor

The issue was corrected by OS team and HP because we faced an issue because of OS inconsistency and my team was re-installed the OS from scratch and it went through. Since it was a new test system we decided to start from OS level.

Please request your OS team to look this issue in case if you are facing the same issue as mentioned above

Seems an issue either with ULIMITS or the unix kernel.

Please verify the ulimits for sidadm and try to confirm if unix kernel is up to date.

Please do share the resolution here, it helps others in case of similar problems.

First of all this is not the right SCN space for your System Copy issue. This space is for DB2 LUW issues.

In here I would say please check if user <sid>adm was created exactly as per installation guide
(e.g. whether it belongs to all required user groups and that the environment variable $HOME is set correctly, and authorisations correctly set ?).

Problem could be that there an error in any of your sh scripts .cshrc, .dbenv*, .sapenv*. The complete .cshrc can not source because
probably the parameter $HOME is not right of sidadm.
