Application migrated to PB .NET: PFC Statusbar service not working...current Datetime not getting displayed...

Hi,

We are migrating our applications from PB Classic to PB .NET. We are using version 12.5.2. Build 5583.

Our applications are using PFC. All applications displays the current datetime on the applications right lower corner Statusbar. This is done by using the PFC Statusbar service.

After migrating an application, we have noticed that there is no display of current datetime now. Our understanding about the issue is - the PFC Statusbar service in PB Classic displays status bar information in an MDI frame window. As the concept of MDI is not there anymore in PB.NET, the status bar service is not working and so the datetime is not getting displayed on the right-lower corner of the application in PB.NET.

How can we resolve this issue...any idea? Any workaround ? It is important for us to display the current datetime in our PB .NET applications.

With best regards....Mazibar

Hi Mazibar;

  Yes, the full MDI feature set is not supported in PB.Net. I have seen many people try and recreate the full MDI behaviour through various PowerScipt coding attempts - but none were successful that I have ever witnessed.
