Depreciation Key 0000 for previous years

Dear All,

I have an asset which was depreciated for 2 years. (2013 and 2014) Now I want to reset depreciation with depreciation key 0000 but SAP only plans 2014's values. When I open fiscal year in asset acconting from OAAQ, SAP plans 2013 values as well but it tries to make the posting in 2013.

I want to reset all depreciation in 2014. Is that possible?

Hi Jack,

Yes, it is a standard behaviour of the system. If you want to post 2013 & 2014 depreciation in 2014. First you have to write up the last year i.e. 2013 depreciation by ABZU. Later you change the depreciation key 0000 for 2014, then it will write off the depreciation for the year.

It is not possible for me to make posting in 2013. Is there a workaround?

Hi Jack,

You have to write up the year 2013 depreciation in 2014 itself. You do not post in 2013. At the time of write up postings you have to specify on when you want to post.
