Migration from v10 to Crystal server 2013

Hi,

We are migration our prod farm from windows 2003 to windows 2012 and having issues with crystal server editions. First we tried v10 installation on windows 2012 but the same was stuck with server start (already tried DEP solution with no luck).

Now we have downloaded crystal server 2013 trial addition to verify the compatibility but again we are not able to proceed with activex control (web viewer), we have crystalreportviewer12 VD and tried updating clsid / other details but control is not loading. Please let me know if there is any sample or other way to load web control.

Hi Gourav,

Your application runtime MUST be the same version as the BOE Servers. CR 2008 SDK cannot talk to BI 4.1 CMS.

So depending on the patch version of BI 3.1/CR 2008 depends on if Windows Server 2012 is supported.

Search for the Platforms and Admin guide for BOE 3.1 on help.sap.com and find the version that is supported on 2012.

What is the error you are getting?

If you are not using the SDK, created your own application to view reports, then this question should be moved to the BI PLatforms page where they can help you with the migration setup.

You should have a Support contract so log into Service Market Place and select BI-BIP-INS for the Component and an Install/Migration Engineer can help with your migrate/upgrade.
