Authorization in Easy DMS

Dear Easy DMS Expert.

I have  complete installation of  Easy DMS in my desktop. I have create different folder and documents through document type "DRW".  Now I want to authorize the different Folder to different users. Kindly guide me how can I control the authorization of different user.

Need your value able inputs.

HI Umar,

I understand that you have created folders for different dept using single document type DRW, you may need to use document status each for each dept and create different roles for different dept(Give the document status as key for roles) then assign the roles to dept users.

Hi Umar,

In DMS or Easy DMS, Authorization can be controlled on the Document type , Authorization Group  or Laboratory/office.

Else you have to activate the ACL in DMS to control object related authorization for documents and folders.

Thanks for your prompt response. But status we are using for workflow. Have you any idea or helping document regarding ACL. Can we handle this authorization through ACL. or any other option to control authorization.
