Risk Ranks in MRP View of Material Master

Hi Guru's,

Our Client has asked for following Requirement

" Our Client are planning to introduce New plant based Risk Ranks for all the materials based on criticality of the equipment.

And they want these Risk Ranks to be visible in SAP somewhere in MRP views of material master, but as I checked there are no field on MRP views is free text field.

These Risk Ranks would be RRI, RRII, RRIII & RRIV, therefore we need a plant level field where we can incorporate these Risk Ranks and also which is easily extractable through normal SAP transactions or tables.

could you please guide me in finding any Material master field in MRP1,MRP2,MRP3,MRP4 for this purpose..

Thanks in Advance

Br,

Partha.

This document shows how to add new fields to the material Master.   The Document is for MARA field,  you can use similar  logic for MARC (plant level) field.

Hello,

We have built this solution. The Asset Risk column shows the equipment risk rank. prometheus-group-bom-manager.png

SAP has no spare fields for free usage. Any field has its desired design, it may currently not be used in your process, but if you use it then you may block yourself in case you need this field in its natural way some day in future.

So better append the MARC table with own fields to make this wish come true.

Or use classification, which is the modification free way of adding fields.

Have a look into this document

It does not really matter if you use it vendor, customers or materials the general process is equal, you only have to select the right class type which is 001 in case of material
