Goods transfer from Return (without batch) to Unrestricted (with batch)

Hi,

We have a customer that their materials are managed by batches.

In the meantime they made a goods return but the materials, which have been returned, were no batch associated (we can see this in tcode MB52).

The intention would be to transfer this stock, in Return, for Unrestricted, but the batch is always mandatory (tcode MIGO).

There is any way to do this?

Can you help us with that?

Best regards,

Daniela Cruz

Can you tell us some history.

Was that material earlier without batch management  when it was sold to the customer?

How was it activated for batch management?

do you see this in the change history of the material?

Such inconsistencies usually happen if people fool SAP and set BM active with direct table updates to avoid all the meaningful messages that you get when you try to make a material batch managed while it has stock and orders etc.

You will not find a transaction or movement that can correct this inconsistency, you will always get this kind of message

Hello Jurgen,

Thanks for your response.

Those materials were born with "batch management" activated in material master data and this field has never changed.

We don't know how the quantities, that have been returned, were no batch associated.

Please take a look to the attached images

  • Tcode MB52

  • Tcode MB52 with Display Batch Stocks

Is there an delivery for the return? does this have a batch number?

Can you add a screenshot from MB51 which shows the batch number column, that shows this return and  some movements too.

In MCHB table we don't have this stock without batch associated.

The delivery documents have batch associated.

This is why we don't know how in MB52 we have this total of quantity without batch.
