What is use of BPM in SAP PI

Dear Experts ,

I am working on SAP PI 7.31 and , want to learn BPM but I am confused about it .

What is the  advantage of BPM and Why should we use BPM in SAP PI .

If possible  please send me some references of BPM

Hi Pradeep,

BPM can be used in the below scenarios like Control/Monitor the messages, Collect/Merge/Split/Multicast the messages, Send an Alert based on the very complex business logic, and to integrate with cross component business process, ...etc
