Business funtion accidentelly activated impact

Hello SAP experts,

We have a situation on a development system where a business function has been activated by mistake.

This change is only been active on DEV system and hasn't been moved to QA or PROD systems. From what I have check through note 1818596 this business function is not reversible and it is related to central applications technical usage. The system it is ERP6.0 EHP7.

My question is would this accidental activation have any impact on any future upgrades of the system landscape (EHP upgrade, SPS upgrade, SP upgrade)? And are there any special considerations that should be taken in this case ?

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Best regards,

Manu

Hello Manu,

this should not affect a system upgrade, since the objects used by SFW5 to turn on the BF already existed beforehand. Some of them, of course, now are active. Some enhancements and business set were created but this will not affect the upgrade.

However you should take care about the change requests created on this system and that might include objects from this BF. If you transport it to your next system on the landscape which does not have this BF active you might face errors, since objects will be inactive.

Best regards,
