Dear basis Experts,

Our PRD server crashed and we have uplaoded the backup server now. We are facing the problem in stms in the PRD server.

When I double click on the PRD server in stms then an error appers.

RFC communications error with system/destination

TMSADM@BMP.DOMAIN_BMD

Error when opening an RFC connection

Our PRD name is not SAPDR  and the old name was SAPPRD. How  can I change the configuration .?  Is there any change required on Dev server.?

Thanks

Aneel

Our PRD server crashed and we have uplaoded the backup server now.

After restore - have you performed the post-installation steps(SE06). If not proceed as follows:

Login to 000 -> SE06 -> Database Copy or Migration -> Perform Post-Installation Actions -> Delete TMS Configurations -> Yes...

Then, add the server to domain and give a try.

Including SAP Systems in the Transport Domain - Change and Transport System - SAP Library

pavan

Hi,

Our PRD server crashed and we have uplaoded the backup server now.

Here i suppose you switched to your DR server which has same SID (e.g PRD ) as of your crashed PRD system. If this is the scenario than you need not to delete & reconfigure STMS,you could follow steps as suggested by Manu.

Good luck !!

Hello Aneel,

Was your TDC (Transport Domain Controller) system PRD?

If there were no specific configuration in your STMS routes, you can delete STSM config and recreate STMS again.

If your TDC system was not PRD, you can delete PRD from STMS config. Then rejoin it to STMS.

When you activate adn distribute routes to all system, the RFC coneections will be repaired.

We  have three system.

Developement Server =  SAPBMD

QA Server  : SAPBMQ

Production Server  =  SAPBMP

Now we have our production has been renamed to SAPDR.

When I import request (STMS  tcode) in the production server then an error occurs. as mentioned above.

Go to transaction STMS IN your domain controller .

Click on System Overview

Double click on your production system

Click on Communication tab

Put the correct hostname under RFC tab

Thanks ,

Hello Aneel,

You need to change PRD system configuration.

So,

1- login to BMD client 000 and delete PRD system from systems.

2- Login to PRD client 000 and rejoin PRD to STMS.

3- In BMD Approve PRD system

4- In BMD Go to routes. Change config. Save Config. This will save and distribute the config to all systems.

And this will solve your problem.

Dear Yuksel AKCINAR,

Thanks for your help.  But we have no 000 client  but  have only 100 for SAPBMD and 300

for SAPBMQ and SAPBMP.

Hello Aneel,

Every ABAP system has default 000 client.

You can configure STMS from 000 client only.

So as I said and Pavan Kumar advised goto PRD system's 000 client and delete STMS config first.

Then add PRD to STMS domain.

Hi Aneel Yuksel ,

Only the Hostname changed  because of the issue  . This can be resolved without deleting the system from the STMS  as follows

Go to transaction STMS IN your domain controller .

Click on System Overview

Double click on your production system

Click on Communication tab

Put the correct hostname under RFC tab

Thanks ,

Manu
