Error when bringing BEx Hierarchy into OLAP Analysis

Hi everyone,

I am using SAP BusinessObjects BI Platform 4.1 Support Pack 2 and Using IE 9.

I have a number of different hierarchy's on a variety of characteristics in Bex. When I drag / drop any of these into an OLAP Analysis Workspace I get this error

If you drag the hierarchy in again it generally works but OLAP Analysis behavior goes a bit skewy after that.

The hierarchies work perfectly in BO Analysis for MS Office & BEx.

I get a similar message in Chrome so I don't beleive its browser related.

Any suggestions welcome!

Gill - there are several notes on this error - one of which is http://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/2123229

These say they have been forwarded to Development for investigation

What version of BW are you using?

It might be good to open up an incident with SAP Support.

We are on BW 7.3 SP6.

I think I wil l have to log it allright!

Hi Gill

Sorry for the inconvenience. Looks like the issue has been resolved in BI4.1 SP05 Patch 3. This is planned to be available on 27 Feb.

Unfortunately there are no more updates on SP2 so you will need to update to SP5 Patch 3.
