Hi,
I have imported one dc from nwdi and modified it using nwds7.31.
Now i want to move only this DC from my laptop to another one.

1. How to move only this DC to another workspace in a different machine ?

2. After movement will it be possible to check-in this DC to same track of NWDI ?

Please help...

Thanks in advance...

Regards,

Alex

Hi,

why don't you simply start up your NWDS on the other machine and import the development configuration of the same track (create project for that DC and do your changes) as if you'd be a different developer using its own NWDS installation and machine.

As of now i cant check-in my codes to nwdi, Also i cannot import the dc from track to re-do all these changes.

So i am trying to copy dc from my old workspace to new workspace in different machine.

But i am not sure which are all the folders to copy and how to get the same in new nwds.

Hi Alex,

I think your problem is that you made some changes in one machine and any how you have not released your changes.

Now your problem is to get the changed code into new machine's NWDS.

Is this your problem? please confirm.

Thanks,

Hamendra

Hi Jun,

Developement scenarios are not fixed and we are in middle of some enhancements.
So i cannot do a check-in now.

Instead of that i want to take this to another machine for further actions.

So from workspace i will have to take few DCs to another without connecting to NWDI.

Please help...

Hi Alex,

If this is the case then copy the whole project from one to another machine but I really not understanding what do you want to achieve by this move as already mentioned by Jun Wu.

Thanks,

hi Alex,

you could use the export function of the nwds to only move a specific DC.

the re-checkin i'm not so sure. but may i ask you why not to checkout the track on the "different machine" and work there?

christian

Hi Christian,
  Thanks for the reply,
I want to copy one DC and its dependend DCs to a new workspace in another machine.
I dont want to copy entire workspace.

1. Which folder i should copy and to which location in new workspace ?

2. After copying how to get that DCs in NWDS ?

hi alex,

you have to switch to the "development infrastructure perspective" there you can select the Software component and perform an export (via right-click). there you can select the dc for export.

at the other machine/nwds you have to perfom an Import of the exported *.sca. (development infrastructure perspective - local development - right click - import sca)

also - maybe this is of some Kind of help : http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw73/helpdata/en/49/2d600d07361903e10000000a42189c/frameset.htm
