average number of days taken to complete a task

Hi All,

I have created a query in Bex to show the number of days an order is open.  I used two formula variables in the query, order create date and invoice date, then a formula variable to calculate the days between the two.

The query works well - but the brief from the business has metrics such as 'number of times an order was open > 3 days'  and for these metrics to be more high level.  I am not sure if I can achieve that as for the query to work it requires the detail of the two dates in the mix.

Hi Denise,

Can you give more details of the business requirement.

For the requirement-

no of times order was open > 3 days

is not so clear...

Thanks,

Akanksha

Hi Akanksha,

The metrics that the business requires to measure are:

How many orders took longer than 3 days to complete.  So I have created the query to show how long each order took - now I need to work out how to get that information to the above metric

Hi Denise,

You can try defining a condition based on your calculated key figure...

Suppose your calc key figure is zduration (how long each order was open)

Define new condition as zduration >3.

Hope I got your requirement.

Thanks,

Akanksha

Thanks all - Condition on the result will help.

Hi Denise,

If I understood your requirement is you want to show the orders which are taking more than 3. days to complete.

if yes

then you have already created KF which will calculate the no of daya for complition of order.

Now you need to create condition > 3 on calculated Kf which shows no of days.

Please try this and let us know the result.
