/SCWM/ISU: wrong HU number range ?

Dear experts,

I try to upload the stock data into EWM System by using of /SCWM/ISU report and it works fine so far.

There is one single strange thing:

Every time during upload I get this warning:

Due to this the HUs in the EWM look following:

The question: why does the system complain about number ranges, even I did set them for external:

Did I miss some other settings?

Hi Denis,

In your upload file check if you checked the column "EXT" after "Packaging material Column" as 'X" for HU number row.

Also as per my understanding I think it is not required to define external number range in EWM system for HU. Please correct me if wrong.

If number range in ECC is internal then only it should be external in EWM to avoid overlapping .

Hi Rajesh,

Yes that true, internal HU number in ECC will become external HU in EWM. But I think it is not mandatory to define external number range in EWM. EWM system will accept any external HU as long as it is not overlapped with EWM internal HU number range.

And I also did assign number range to packaging material type:

But nevertheless I get the same warning:

But not with the number I've uploaded.

Same packaging material should be assigned with external number range in ECC and should be assigned to packacging material type in ECC.

Pease send screen shot of configuration related to "define packaging material " in ECC and EWM to check if something is wrong there which is different config than what you sent .

Plant determination field change to "plant is entered manually in the handling unit " and  keep HU type field blank in ECC config.

HU type field should be maintained in packaging product master in EWM side.

I changed the plant determination to "plant is entered manually in the handling unit ", but what do you mean with the second part (HU type field should be maintained in packaging product master in EWM side.) ?

Do you mean the maintenance of /SAPAPO/MAT1 in EWM ?
