Object reference not set to an instance of an object.

Hi,

I have a problem accessing BPC via Excel, when I try to log on I get this error message

Object reference not set to an instance of an object.

This is irrespective of the client PC and user. From all PCs and with all users I can log onto the admin console.

Would anyone have any idea what causes this and how I could solve the problem of not being able to access BPC?

Thanks,
Arnold

Hi Arnold,

every MS version has this kind of issue, this seems related with server and for 10 version there are several notes 1829977, 1828291 , 1636692.
if doesn't work run server diagnostic to see if there are some errors, verify antivirus isn't running on bpc files or some recent change (e.g. proxy change) or try restarting the server.

Hi Arnold,

Kindly check the MS Office bit is 32 or  64 , same bit IE version required.

i.e. MS Office 32bit, IE 32 Bit,

if MS Office 64Bit then use EPM Add in Big vol version.
