Do I need to activate the function Services for object in Quality notification QM01/QM02?

I want to attach documents (Word, excel, jpg, pdf) to Quality notification.. in other clients theres a dropdown list here....

I seems that we miss some config or setup to use this in our system...

Hi Andreas,

I think it should try once to attach a document in order to test if Services for object functionality is already operational. Else, I think you may need to work with Basis and ABAP team to activate the class CL_GOS_MANAGER.

You can take clues from knowledge documents available below -

1.

2. Frequently asked questions about Generic Object Services GOS - Application Server Infrastructure - S...

3. Generic Object Services (BC-SRV-GBT) - SAP Library

You can also search a bit on the available documentation while you try it.

Thanks,

Arijit

Hello,

Regarding your requirement please check if following information fills it:

Technical Name of the Business Function: EHP 4

OPS_QM_NOTIFICATION and OPS_QM_EXTENSIONS

More information in http://help.sap.com/erp2005_ehp_04/helpdata/EN/bd/8cfed4318b4b0bad81a85f53a60727/content.htm

The following link also can help you, it is about Assigned Objects:

http://help.sap.com/erp2005_ehp_05/helpdata/EN/e0/0caab9503c4855984f568a49e75ae5/frameset.htm

According to this link "when processing notifications, you assign the objects on a separate tab page at the item-level. Consistency checks are made.
You can assign objects at the notification header level, at the item level, or you can use a combination. For example, you can assign a material at the header level and you can assign batches at the item level."

Also, as written in
http://help.sap.com/erp2005_ehp_04/helpdata/EN/e0/0caab9503c4855984f568a49e75ae5/frameset.htm

'You can assign multiple objects to a notification at item level'.

or in
http://help.sap.com/erp2005_ehp_06/helpdata/EN/bd/8cfed4318b4b0bad81a85f53a60727/frameset.htm 'Assigned Objects at Level of Notification Item'.

Best regards,

Natália
