Revalautaion of Fixed Asset

In SAP Business By-Design, if we revalue assets on the first day of the new financial year, will it impact the depreciation of assets for the year concerned.

Another additional information,it is the first year in which SAP Business By- Design has been implemented.

The impact on the depreciation depends upon the period control method assigned to the asset. You can refer to the help document "Period Control Methods and Keys" for the detailed list of period control key assigned to the revaluation transaction for the period method assigned to the depreciation method.

In general, the revaluation will not impact the depreciation posted in the previous year.The Period control key will determine when the depreciation should change in the current year.
