Hi All,
Our company using Windows 2003 server as os and Microsoft has been stopping the support related to this operating system.
For this reason we are planning to migrate our windows 2003 server to windows 2012 server.
My current system configurations:
os : windows 2003 server
sap ecc6.0 kernel 700
DB : oracle 10.2.0.2
i need some Clarifications related to this Migration to win 2012 server 64bit.
1. wether it is possible to migrate only OS from 2003 to 2012 without Application changes.
2. what are standard procedure do i need to follow to migration frm win 2003 to 2012.
3. what are prerequisites to do migration from win 2003 to win 2012.
4. what are standard configuration required to do the same.
could you please guide me in doing this activity successfully.
Thanks in Advance for your Valuable sugesstions on this.
Thanks,
Abdul
Hi Chandrashekhar,
You need to check two things.
First:
- In PAM you need to check which version f oracle is supported on windows 2012 r2.
- Oracle 10g is not suppored on windows 2012 r2 so you to upgrade the oracle to 11g
- You have to use kernel 721 ext
Second :
You need to check the sap netweaver release supported on windows 2012 and oracle 11g
Checked the below sap note for more details.
