Grand Total Running totals and Group Footers

Former Member

Hi,

I have the following report that I need to create Grand Totals for column Quantite which is running totals on each group and column Redevance that is a formula subtotaled by Group.

I created it like this because there can be many rates for the same item.

Any ideas how I can create a grand total for both of these columns ?

Thanks,

Debbie

The best way to do this would be to create a new running total that's exactly like your existing running total, but you would set the "Reset" option to "Never".  This will give you a grand total.

Hi Dell,

When I add the same running total with Reset Never. It only totals the values in my first header:

Where you see the correct number depends on where you put the Running Total Object.  Since you're looking for a grand total, you would put this in the report footer.

Another option depends on the contents of your {@Qty} formula.  If you're not using Previous() or Next(), you could just create a grand total summary (go to the Insert menu and select Summary or click on the E button).
