Remove duplicate entries from portal search result set

Hi Experts,

I need your help in the below issue-

If the user is assigned roles R1 and R2 say for example,  and both the roles have an iView iv1, than when the user does a search for iv1, he gets in his result set 2 records which correspond to R1-iv1 and R2-iv1. We does not want to see 2 records as both belong to same iView. We would like to see only one record in response to the search for iv1.

Do we have any mechanism to merge the result set in the above scenario? Or do we have to build a custom search solution?

You cant search for PCD content using TREX, since the crawler simply cant index this content. So it must be another search provider? Where did you found any information how to configure this? Thanks,

I cant see an option on appropriate service reagrding your requirement:

So the answer is probably no, you cant filter with the standard solution. Indeed, I would ask my self, if this also happens while using navigation structures for avoiding double content. If not, I would assume you could need to reorganize your navigation structure
