Has anyone ever encountered where a custom query is just hanging - it never returns after the validate key is pressed.
What exactly is the system attempting to do?
(currently running sap bi 4.0 sp03 and toying with the idea of upgrading)

What is your query asking? The query results could very large, which is causing the data fetch take too much time.
What type of query? Is it a Query Analysis request? Is it a Crsytal / WebI / dashboard request?
